Dr. John P. McGrane
For over 20 years, I have genuinely enjoyed my career as a dentist; and to this day, I can still honestly say that I love my profession. There's no greater feeling than knowing that I am able to help my patients achieve their dental health goals, while building lifelong friendships. Dentistry means different things to different people, and I enjoy getting to hear each of my patients' stories, and working with my patients not only to improve their smiles, but also their overall health and confidence.
Our entire team is very well coordinated. We believe one of the greatest challenges we face today is enhancing the human touch in our relationship with the wonderful people we call our patients. Our dental practice exists to serve the needs of our patients, and our goal is to deliver high quality dental care based on trust, relationships, and thoroughness. We strive to deliver dental care with a personalized and comfortable touch.

Continuing Education
As a dentist, it is important for me to remain up-to-date with the latest dental technologies and treatments. I regularly participate in continuing education, taking special courses that include CEREC® CAD/CAM technology, Invisalign® clear orthodontics, and aesthetic bonding. By participating in continuing education, I am able to meet my patients' needs by providing them with the most advanced, high quality care possible.
Outside of the Practice
I am originally from Independence, Iowa, and have lived in Cedar Rapids for over 15 years. My wife, Mary Jo, and I have two wonderful children, Tim and Emma, two adorable grandsons, Landon and Carter, and our hunting dog, Lily. When I'm not at the practice, I enjoy traveling with my family, bird hunting with my dogs, fishing, and golfing. I am proud to be a member of the Cedar Rapids Community, and I believe in giving back to this great community for the many years of support it's given me. I am a sponsor of Aiming for a Cure, as well as Touchdown for Kids - two amazing organizations that benefit the area children at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
