Welcome to our practice! Finding ways to help people smile is my priority. Building your confidence so that you can share your smile is my goal! My role is to help resolve concerns and make your visits positive. I am happy to answer your questions and plan for appointments. It is important to me that each of you enjoy a feeling of ease and confidence in our office. I bring over 15 years of experience in the dental field and am thrilled to be a part of the Spring Valley Dental Care team. I appreciate how positive the environment is here. We all work extremely well together to provide the best service for you. Our staff is very warm and inviting. I love the positive energy felt by everyone and I really appreciate the attentive care our doctors and team strive to provide, as individuals and collectively, to each patient.
My husband and I have 2 children. I love doing all things outdoorsy with my family. You will often find me out enjoying our boat on the lake and traveling. I also enjoy doing crafts and watching movies with my children. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your oral health care needs.

Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions Certification
Hello, and welcome! My name is Nikki, and I have been working with Dr. McGrane for over 20 years. I enjoy working with our patients, and I always make an extra effort to make each patient feel welcome when visiting our practice. I understand that some of our patients experience anxiety. One of my goals is to listen to their concerns and do everything I can to ease their nervousness and ensure that they have a positive experience. Making my patients feel cared for is important to me. One of my favorite things about working in dentistry is talking to our patients about their own lives and getting to hear about their experiences and accomplishments. Working chairside with Dr. McGrane is great. He encourages our entire team to continue growing and learning, and is always bringing new technology into the practice.
Outside of the practice, I am a busy mother of two girls, Cora and Grace and we have one dog named Montana. When I have leisure time, I enjoy biking, taking care of our yard, scrapbooking, and driving my kids from one activity to the next. I also enjoy taking trips with my family.

Hello, my name is Dana and I am one of Dr. McGrane's dental hygienists. I grew up in Edgewood, Iowa and settled in Cedar Rapids after college. I have been in the dental field for 22 years after receiving my dental assisting degree in 1991 from Kirkwood Community College. I worked in the field for a few years before going on to receive my dental hygiene degree from Hawkeye Community College in 1998. My favorite part of working in dentistry is getting to know all sorts of people and building relationships with them.
In my free time, I enjoy getting out and trying new things! I enjoy spending time with my two awesome sons. We enjoy doing all water activities such as boating, fishing and swimming. I also enjoy reading, walking and watching the Hawkeyes!

Hi, my name is Elgean. I am a dental assistant here at Spring Valley Dental Care. I joined Dr. McGrane and his staff in the summer of 2017. I had worked for my previous dentist for thirty years and was nervous about this next chapter in my life. Everyone on the Spring Valley Dental Care team has been very welcoming to me and it has not taken me long to feel at home. I know you will feel the same when you join our practice as a patient. We strive to provide our patients with an atmosphere where you will feel at ease and confident in the care that you receive.
In my free time I enjoy running, biking, being outdoors and taking road trips. My husband and I live in Hiawatha. We have four children and two grandchildren, all who keep us very busy.

Hi, I'm Kara. I was raised in Solon, Iowa. I graduated from Kirkwood Community College as a Dental Hygienist in 2017. Prior to joining Spring Valley Dental Care, I worked and specialized in pediatric dentistry. When I am not making smiles brighter, I can be found either enjoying time with my cats or on an adventure with my husband, Darrin. Almost everyone has dental trauma or anxiety. I strive to make your appointment efficient and easy as possible!

Hi, I’m Jerri. My main role in the office is to provide our patients with gum disease treatment, routine cleaning, and placing sealants for children. I have worked as a hygienist since 1991, and have been happily working with our dental team since 2001. I feel very satisfied to know that I am helping to improve our patient’s smiles, and their health by providing high quality dental care. I am a native of Iowa and have lived in Marion since 1996. When I’m not in the office I enjoy reading, playing cards and darts, and hanging out with my kids.

Hello, my name is Jessica! When I am not front and center at Spring Valley Dental Care, you will find me chasing after my two young children, Mollie and Calvin. My fiancé and I are excited to raise our kids in the same great community that we both grew up in. We enjoy kayaking and spending time with our friends and families.

Hello, my name is Kallie. As your registered dental assistant I really enjoy connecting and ensuring your entire visit is as comfortable as possible. It always warms my heart seeing patients overcome their fear from the dentist, knowing the team here at Spring Valley made them feel safe and welcomed.
After graduating from Marion High School I attended UNI where I received my bachelor’s degree in Biology Teaching. Before working at Spring Valley Dental Care, I was a high school science teacher who taught advanced biology, chemistry and anatomy. I married my high school boyfriend and after having our first child we decided that a career change was in order. I am so blessed for the opportunity to work with the best professionals in our area, here at Spring
Valley.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories outdoors.

Hello, my name is Alexis! I was born in California and moved to Cedar Rapids in 2004. In 2022, I received my Associates of Science Degree as well as my Certificate in Dental Assisting from Kirkwood Community College. I am eager to further my education and become certified in expanded functions, which allows me to do more as your dental assistant.
Before joining the amazing Spring Valley Dental Care practice, I worked at an orthodontic office. My goal when you walk into our building is to make you feel welcomed. I want to earn your trust and create a friendship. I hope to be your dental assistant for the next 30 years!
In my free time I enjoy reading, shopping, hanging out with my friends, and going on road trips. I also love spending time with my family. I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters ranging in all sorts of ages.
